Hello Everyone,

Crank Software is pleased to announce the release of Storyboard Suite 3.2.1. To download SB 3.2.1 please visit http://www.cranksoftware.com/storyboard_suite_eval

Crank Storyboard Suite v3.2.1
------------------------------

Storyboard Designer
-------------------

The Storyboard Suite 3.2.1 release includes stability and performance enhancements. In addition, the following changes have been made to Storyboard Designer and Storyboard Embedded Engine.

Photoshop Re-Import Improvement: Duplicate Content
--------------------------------------------------

In the previous release, if a user re-imports a PSD with duplicate images to update a Storyboard application containing duplicate images, the Photoshop Re-import will ignore both of the images. This feature has been updated in this release to include duplicate images.

Exporting Design Reports
------------------------

Users can now easily export design reports to PDF and HTML using the Export Storyboard Design Notes functionality.

Polygon Renders Outside of Control
----------------------------------

In previous releases, if the user extended the points of a polygon beyond the control, the polygon would render outside of the control. This has been fixed and Polygons now only render within their control.

PSD Re-import Overwrite
-----------------------

Selecting to overwrite images during Photoshop Re-import didn't overwrite the images on Windows. This functionality now actually overwrite the images on all platforms.

Model Prefix Option for Photoshop Import
----------------------------------------

To facilitate working with multiple PSD files for different elements of an application design, we've added the option for users to add a namespace prefix during the Photoshop PSD File import.

Exporting Project Resources
---------------------------

An additional resource prompt has been added to the Resource Header Export to allow any project resources to be exported.

Animation Scaling by Duration
-----------------------------

Animation scaling by duration has been improved in this release to respond appropriately to changes.

Re-layering Multiple Controls to New Layers
------------------------------------------

In previous releases, re-layering controls to another layer doesn't maintain the control Z order but uses whatever priority based on the user selection. This has been fixed in this release.

Known Issues
------------

OS X
----

For 3D features to work correctly in Storyboard Designer, users must have OS X 1.6.8 (or greater) along with Java Update 16 installed.

Storyboard Embedded Engine Changes
----------------------------------------

Render Manager Options for Scaling
----------------------------------

Options to scale applications on the desktop such as -orender_mgr, window_w=, and window_h= now scale both the application and the window.

Added xoffset and yoffset to the Lua table attributes
-----------------------------------------------------

We've added xoffset & yoffset to get_table_attrs() to more easily obtain these table attributes.

Added SDL Configuration Options - OS X
--------------------------------------

Mac OS X multisample option now works on SDL.

OpenGL ES Rotated Screen Support
--------------------------------

Added support for rotated screens in the OpenGL ES rendermgr.

Access to Keys From Standard Keyboard
-------------------------------------

Key mappings have been added in this release to allow the use of most standard keyboard keys.

iOS 7
-----

Storyboard Engine now supports iOS7.

Documentation Incorrect for Lua get_string_size Function Return Value
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The documentation incorrectly states that nchars, the number of characters that will fit in clip, is returned.

---------------

If this is your first time developing using Storyboard Designer, there is a section in the documentation called "Creating a Storyboard Designer Project" to help get you started. Hello

Storyboard 3.2.1 already works with Ubuntu 14.04.

Please keep in mind that Designer is a 32 bit application, so you will need to make sure that you have the 32 bit versions of the support libraries required by Designer (gnome, X libraries). These libaries are needed to support the SWT component of Eclipse, which the Storyboard Designer is based off of.

Thanks,
Rodney
