StopWatch in Storyboar

Postby ntmkboy » Tue Jun 25, 2013 3:27 pm

Hi all,

I'm very new in storyboard. I'm trying to create a Stopwatch with three buttons (start, stop and lap). Is there anyway that I can create it in storyboard using Lua script?

Thank you and I appreciate for your help.

I'm sure it would be pretty easy to do.

Are you looking for something like this?

Hi Jason,

Yes, that is what i'm looking for.
What time function that you are using in the example? Is it already built in Storyboard or I have to write Lua Script for it?
I have a text_box and want to show the time tick in the text box when the button is pressed.

Thank you,

Take a look at this example. You can change this around a bit to add current times to a table for lap times but the basic functionality of what you're looking for is here.

EDIT: Please keep in mind this is making the system run full tilt and will suck up cpu speed very quickly. This is just an example of what can be done. realistically you probably want to throttle it back a lot.

EDIT 2: UPDATED! Timer example has been updated to make better use of CPU speed.

Hi,
I would like to take a look at this StopWatch example, but this model is only loadable to Storyboard 4.x. Could you update it to Storyboard 5.0?
Thank you.
