SBEngine v5 does not find plugins, when executed from shell

Hello,

yesterday I installed the Storyboard v5.0 version.
My projects still load fine in the Storyboard Engine, when executed via the Designer GUI -> Simulate Storyboard Project.

But when I try to run the SBEngine from the command line, using all the parameters exactly as shown in the Designer -> "Storyboard simulator configurations" window, the SBEngine does not load.

My machine is a Windows 7 Enterprise x64, with an Intel Core i7

I added -vvvvvvv (this are 7 v's total) when executing from Designer and from Shell.

Started from the designer:
sbe_start_from_designer.txt
(9.47 KiB) Downloaded 177 times


Started from the shell:
sbe_start_from_shell.txt
(649 Bytes) Downloaded 156 times


Strange thing is, since the Storyboard v5.0 installation, also the execution of a v4.x engine from shell does no longer work.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,

The engine is failing to run because it can't load a renderer, and I'm also not seeing any additional plugins being detected. Have you specified the engine's plugin directory path with the SB_PLUGINS environment variable?

Hi Matt,

yes it was the plugins path, maybe it got lost somehow between the v4.x and v5.0 installation. Anyways, I am still seeing differences when the engine loads

DIAG [0.030]:Unable to load plugin: C:/Program Files (x86)/Crank_Software/Storyboard_Engine/5.0.201703091128/win32-x86-opengles_2.0-obj/plugins/libgre-plugin-rext-external.dll Error: Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden.
DIAG [0.032]:Unable to load plugin: C:/Program Files (x86)/Crank_Software/Storyboard_Engine/5.0.201703091128/win32-x86-opengles_2.0-obj/plugins/libgre-plugin-sbp-reader.dll Error: Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden.

These 3 modules do not load, when executed from shell, but only SBP reader does fail, when executed from within Storyboard Designer.

Any further ideas?
My application seems to execute fine, but I am just wondering about the difference, since both calls seem identical and the SB_PLUGINS path also contains these 3 modules.
