You can use the standard Lua io operations to access a file
http://www.lua.org/manual/5.1/manual.html#5.7

Once you read the file in you'll need to use a Lua module to deal with the data. Here is an example of a handling json data

I am trying to update the different language strings in Storyboard application text box render.
Most of the languages i can able to display in text box except Arabic and Japanese.

I am not sure how can i display those as well.
Please let me know the procedure to do that for these languages.

Hi Saiteja,

My initial guess would be that the font you are using doesn't support Arabic and Japanese. If that is the issue then you need to sent the font for all the text render extensions to a variable, and then when updating the text you you will also need to change the font. You can set them all to a single reference at the application level that way it is a single set and all the fonts are updated for every string.

If you are using the Storyboard Translation sample to base this one you can add your font set to the top of the cvs file.

If this isn't the issue you might need to send a sample to support@cranksoftware.com so we can gt a better understanding of your issue.
