All about qrcodes

Hey there!

I found a nifty little lua library http://speedata.github.io/luaqrcode/ that, when you hand it a string, will return a table of positive or negative values that describe a qrcode.
This data by itself isn't very useful however with Storyboard's new canvas render extension we can easily turn this data into a visible QRCode. Take a look for yourself in the attached demo.

This is set up to change the background color and size of the QRCode. Sometimes darker backgrounds help with readability on certain apps.

Hi John!

thanks for the library and the example, this is super useful!

However, when I download the file, there seems to be only the .gde file and no lua scripts.

Is the attachment perhaps missing some files?

Thanks!

New Sample Available.

Hi parthmbhatt,

I would like to apologize for the delay in getting back to your question.

Here's a sample application that uses luaqrcode and the Storyboard Canvas Render Extension to draw QR codes in Storyboard.

To change the contents of the QR code in this example, just change the text in variable "Layer.info.text" and restart the application.

Good luck!
Mike
